Pacesetter GREAT 5-STATE Youth Basketball Playoffs

2026 Great 5-State Championships


TARGET CENTER • MINNEAPOLIS

Grades 4-9 • Boys & Girls teams: MN • WI •IA • SD • ND (Teams qualify in state playoffs)

The Pacesetter Great Five-State championships are held on summer weekends in conjunction with Minnesota Lynx games and are also supported by the Minnesota Timberwolves. Top teams from each state are invited to play in the 8-team bracket, where each team is guaranteed to play one game on the main Target Center floor, the home court of the Lynx and Timberwolves.

QUALIFYING

North Dakota teams qualify through the Jr. Grand Am in Grand Forks on April 10-12, South Dakota teams qualify through the Willie Mac tournament in Brookings (date TBA), Wisconsin teams will qualify through the Badgerland State Tournament on March 7-8 & 14-15, and Iowa teams will qualify through Pacesetter Playoffs at Mason City High School on February 22. The five state playoff champions are guaranteed an invitation to the Great 5-State championship. The Minnesota State runner-up will also receive an invitation. Two wild card selections will complete the 8-team Great State bracket.

“GREAT STATE” invitations will be issued at each state qualifying tournament. Invited teams should register as soon as possible to claim their spot.

Further information, guidelines, and rules for each tournament will be provided in the invitation and posted on the Pacesetter Sports website.

Great Five-State ENTRY FEE:  $TBA/team + All players, coaches and fans will be required to purchase a Lynx game ticket – approx. $30-35 – which will serve as a pass to all Pacesetter games and the MN Lynx game.

Saturday-Sunday, June 14-15 – Boys Grades 4-7
Weekend 2:
Saturday-Sunday, June 28-29 – Girls Grades 4-9
