2024 Pacesetter Top 100 Expo

COLLEGE OF ST. BENEDICT – ST. JOSEPH, MN / TUESDAY, JULY 2

The top boys and girls from Minnesota in each class and selected players from neighboring states will be invited to participate in the 2024 Top 100 Expo Showcase at the College of St. Benedict in St. Joseph, MN. Invitations will be sent early April to head coaches. Any high school coach may recommend a player for an invitation by emailing jmac8144@yahoo.com. The Top 100 Expo is limited to the first 80 players to enroll. Invited players are encouraged to register as soon as possible to reserve a spot.

Eight teams of 8-10 players will be drafted and placed into an 8-team tournament bracket. Players play three games in one day before college coaches and the Minnesota Basketball News staff, who evaluate players for the 2024-2025 pre-season Top 100 Player List for each class – 50 boys and 50 girls. The games will involve an 8-team bracket playoff for the Top 100 Expo overall championship. All teams will be coached by current or former college coaches or former college players. All-star teams of 10 players will be named along with an overall MVP for both boys and girls. Every player will receive a commemorative Top 100 Expo reversible jersey.

College Coaches

College coaches are invited to attend free of charge. A schedule and list of players will be sent within two weeks of the event to all college coaches in Minnesota, Iowa, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, and Wisconsin. Player Profiles will also be compiled on each player and included in a free booklet, which will be provided to each coach in attendance. Non-attending coaches may purchase the Player Profile information for $30 in either paper or digital form. Registration

The Top 100 Expo is an exclusive event reserved for top players in Minnesota and neighboring states, by “invitation only”. Players must register online by June 7. The registration link will be sent to head coaches, who will be asked to forward it on to individual players. (If the registration deadline has passed, please contact the Pacesetter office to check for available openings at 320-243-7460.) Reminder: Head coaches can recommend a top player on their team for an invitation by emailing jmac8144@yahoo.com

Players are invited to also attend the Pacesetter College Prep Camp on July 1, before the Top 100 Expo Showcase.  Paul McDonald, former head men’s basketball coach at Vermilion Community College, and his staff of coaches will conduct a one-day “college prep” camp to give personal instruction and one-on-one attention to players.  Coaches will provide college drills and direct each player in the best way to take his or her game to the college level.

Player Profiles

Players attending the Top 100 Expo should complete their player profile. IMPORTANT! The information players provide within their profile will be compiled and given to all college coaches in attendance and those who have requested profiles be sent to them.  All profiles must be submitted by June 8. A link to the player profile form will be included in the confirmation email after each player registers for the Expo.
